*Continue to pray for our second grade class as they prepare to receive their 1st Holy Communion next Sunday.  The students are Samantha Coolman, Edreanna Peck, Gabriel Rushinsky, Jonah Shininger, and Xavier Shininger.

*Practice for First Communion will be Friday, May 5 at 5:00 p.m. at Marysdale.

A Family Perspective: In today’s gospel the disciples were returning home so “downcast” they did not recognize Jesus walking with them.  In our homes we can be so overwhelmed with responsibilities we don’t see God with us.  Today’s gospel tells us to stop and open our eyes to the blessings we are to one another.

Youth Mission Trip - Fourteen youth and 5 adults from St. Michael’s Ridge and the surrounding area are attending a mission trip July 2-8, 2017 in Athens, Ohio. During this week long camp, the teenagers and adults will live in the homeless shelter run by Good Works. The participants will perform a variety of services during the week, including mentoring homeless children, repairing homes of low income families in the area, assisting with meal preparation for those in need, and assisting with maintenance of the homeless shelter.  The cost to attend this week of service is $4,300.  The youth have been doing a variety of fundraisers to help pay for this trip.  Along with paying for the trip, the group is also responsible for providing and preparing food for 120 low income people while they are on the trip.  St. Isidore parishioner Becky Singer, along with Ashton Gessner, will be two of the attendees on this trip.  Any assistance that can be given in the second collection next weekend would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you in advance for supporting the youth to do service, just as Jesus taught us to do.
