Notes from Father Jake:
1. Bishop Thomas called this past week, and he asked about how our parish families are doing. He asked me to give you his greetings and to let everyone know that he is praying for us and thanks us for our prayers for him.
2. St Mike’s Festival is canceled for this year. Fr Jake met with the committee and we have decided it would be best to cancel due to the present restrictions regarding the pandemic and the need to maintain the safety of our volunteers and patrons. It is our hope to have one next year.
3. We are still gathering items for the care packages for the nursing home residents in Leipsic and for people of our parishes who are in nursing care or homebound. If you would like to donate and/or if you know of someone who would like to receive a care package please contact Karen Newton at 419-576-0727 or Ronda Fabiano at 419-980-0296.
God bless you all, fj

Glory to God in the highest,
and peace to His people on earth.
Lord God, heavenly King, Almighty God and Father,
we worship You, we give You thanks,
we praise You for Your glory.
Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, Lord God, Lamb of God, You take away the sin of the world:
have mercy on us;
You are seated at the right hand of the Father:
receive our prayer.
For You alone are the Holy One, You alone are the Lord, You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of the Father. Amen.
I believe in one God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, (please bow) and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Care Package Outreach for the residents of the Meadows of Leipsic because they have suffered during the COVID 19 outbreak. Items for the 31 residents at their health center include: crossword puzzle books, word search books, candy and lotion. Items for the 18 residents at their assisted living facility include: cross-word puzzle books, word search books, candy, soaps, and paper products because they have to buy their own. Containers will be placed in the vestibule at each site for any donations. Thank you in advance.
St. Isidore Altar-Rosary Society’s Mother’s Day to Father’s Day Project – As with most events planned during the last few months, this project did not happen. However, the Community Pregnancy Center is in dire need of funds since its spring fundraising event scheduled for April 21 was also cancelled. In lieu of distributing and collecting bottles, we are asking parishioners who are interested in donating to the Center to write a check to the St. Isidore Altar-Rosary Society and mail it in care of Melissa Moninger to St. Isidore Catholic Parish at 05480 Moser Rd, Defiance, OH 43512. Donations can also be placed in the collection basket in a clearly marked envelope for Melissa Moninger.
