Protecting the Sanctity of Human Life
January 22 is the Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children, a day set aside for remembering the 60 million+ babies who have been aborted in America since the Roe vs Wade decision in 1973. Abortion is the leading cause of death in our nation—not just in infants, but in the entire U.S. population. Abortion can seem like an insurmountable evil—a problem against which we have little power to fight.
Fortunately, no problem is too big for God, and there is hope. The past several years of data have showed a decrease in the overall number of abortions, and more and more abortion clinics are being forced to close their doors. According to TIME, “Recent estimates indicate there are now more than five times as many Crisis Preg-nancy Centers in the U.S. as there are abortion clinics.” Through the grace and strength of Jesus Christ and with the help of dedicated volunteers, donors, and prayer warriors like you, the tide is turning towards LIFE. Continue to pray, donate whenever you can, and speak for the voiceless and defend the helpless.

Growing closer in a marriage does not happen automatically. Retrouvaille is a marriage program dedicated to helping couples grow closer and develop a stronger bond. The next weekend in our area is January 24 – 26, 2020. for more information, contact registration team: Joe & Arlene 419-481-1116 or visit our website: HelpOurMarriage.com

Reason for Optimism for LIFE
Following South Dakota's enactment of the most pro-life law in America, Roe v. Wade may well be revisited in the not too distant future. As a result, USA Today recently published an article (based largely on data from the pro-abortion group, the Alan Guttmacher Institute) which predicts what would be likely to happen if Roe v. Wade were overturned and abortion became a state-by-state issue again. The results are quite surprising and positive for LIFE. Only 16 states are likely to continue abortion on demand---any time, any place, for any reason---if Roe v Wade were overturned. This would include seven states on the West Coast and almost every state in the Northeast, but only a third of the U.S population. By contrast, at least 22 states containing half of all Americans would almost definitely enact either complete or near-complete abortion bans, recognizing that the unborn child is a person, deserving of basic human rights like the rest of us. This is very encouraging and underlines the importance of using our influence to enact laws like the Unborn Child Amendment in South Dakota.
