St. Isidore Annual Parish Picnic will be held Sunday, September 10, at The Bend site. At 12:30 p.m. there will be a potluck lunch; please bring a dish to share. The parish council will provide a 5:00 p.m. meal including hot dogs, brats, watermelon, and chips. Please come and enjoy food, games, and fun for all.
Altar-Rosary Society – Ladies of St. Isidore Parish 18 years or older are welcome to join the Altar-Rosary Society. The Society’s purpose is the spiritual and social benefit of its members. Through donation of time and talents, members provide many social and service events. Please consider using your talents in either a large or small way to serve our parish through this organization of women and view the sign-up sheet after Mass with one of the officers. First Friday Latin Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 1, at 7:00 p.m. at Domus Angelorum Retreat House, located at 21706 State Route 114, Cloverdale, OH. All are welcome.
K of C Pancake Breakfast – On Sunday, September 3, 2017, at the K of C Hall on Elliott Road, Defiance, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Menu includes fresh homemade buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, potato casserole, sausage links, biscuits & gravy, cinnamon rolls, orange juice, coffee, and iced tea. Meal price: $7 for adults; $6 for senior citizens; $4 for children 6-12; free for children 5 and under.
Perch, Peach, Pierogi and Polka Festival in Port Clinton, Ohio
Plans are underway for the 13th annual Perch, Peach, Pierogi and Polka Festival to be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in downtown Port Clinton at 109 E. Perry Street, over Labor Day Weekend. This year the fun filled event will begin on Friday, September 1, at 5:00 p.m. The fun, food and fantastic polka music will continue on Saturday, September 2, and conclude on Sunday, September 3. The festival will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and from 11:00 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Admission to the festival for adults is $3.00 and anyone under 18 is free. The facility is protected from the elements and will continue rain or shine. Everyone is invited to join us for a fun filled weekend.

Retreat at Domus Angelorum Retreat Center
The Domus Angelorum Retreat House, located at 21706 State Route 114 Cloverdale, will be conducting a retreat on the topic “God Deepens on You” on Saturday, September 9. The day begins with Mass at 8:30 a.m. with registration and Adoration following Mass. The day will conclude with Reconciliation and Benedictions at 3:00 p.m. Costs is $10.00 per person and please bring a packed lunch. All are welcome.

Parish council meeting of St. Isidore Parish was held July 27, 2017, with council members present: Bennette Singer, Teresa Dietrich, Rebecca Meyer, Brian Hammon, B.J. Kline, Jake Coolman, Jamie Gause, Levi Kuhn, Luke Shininger with Rebecca Mansel-Pleydell excused.
Meeting was called to order by President Teresa Dietrich, Father Kill opened with prayer;
Minutes: reviewed minutes, motion to approve made by Luke, and seconded by Becky Meyer, motion to accept passed.
Finance; Annual report, read and approved, motion to approve made by Jamie, seconded by B.J., motion to accept passed
Maintenance: Luke said the weed eater at the Bend site needs to be repaired, for cemetery use, decided to check into replacing it because of age. At Marysdale site, - west door in kitchen, the seal needs to be replaced, windows in the hall on both the north and south sides have water laying after a hard rain, will be checked into, there is a large washout that needs repaired, and the eaves spout in the southwest corner of church needs cleaned out.
Christian formation: Brian will go on retreat in August, will be looking into getting someone for our mission
Youth: No Report
Family Life: Parish hog roast went well, had a good attendance, was enjoyed by all especially the youngsters and water slide, discussed some issues that were brought up, thanks to all that helped make it a fun time. There will be a mass said for Deacon Rich Carnahan and wife for his part in doing the music and calling the dances, motion to approve made by Luke and seconded by Brian, motion to accept passed.
Communication and Service: The parish church picnic will be September 10, 2017 at Bend site
Liturgy: No report
Father reported that if any improvements or projects are to be done by a parish, the Bishop must approve the projects of $30,000 or more, the total cost of the project must be considered even if it is to be completed in stages with each stage costing less than $30.000, this was referring to a discussion on air conditioning for hall at Marysdale.
Old Business. Flag was donated at Marysdale site, Thank You, the pictures directories are here and will be given out after masses. Extra books are for sale at $5.00 each if someone wants an extra.
New Business: Discussed Scott Graham‘s Deacon Ordination, phones were not working at Marysdale hall, was checked into and found that the problem was not the phones but the line coming in, working now. The well at the Bend site going to the church is not working very good, will be checked into to see if it can be improved, lack of water supply.
Next meeting will be September 7th, 2017 at Marysdale site after 7:00 p.m. mass. Motion to adjourn by Luke and seconded Levi, Father closed with prayer.
